Caille is one of our favourite value producers from the Loire Valley. The viticulture is biodynamic and the wine is made with a low intervention approach. This is the Cot, or Malbec, grape. Do not be fooled by the idea of Malbec here - this is not a new world Argentinian approach to the grape. Much lighter in tanin and colour than the often highly extracted Argentinian-style Malbec, this wine is fresher and livelier. Black fruit, well structured, light tannins and a silky mouthfeel.
